FAQ

What is BitShield?

A launchpad for sBRC-20 tokens on Bitcoin L1: tokens with private balances. Each coin has a ticker of 3 or 4 characters, a max supply and a fixed amount per mint.

What is private, and what is public?

Private: your balance, and who holds which tokens after minting. Only your wallet can see what it holds.
Public: each mint and its Bitcoin payment, visible on-chain like any Bitcoin transaction.

How do I mint?

Create your shielded address, pick the token and how many mints, and click Mint. Send the exact sats shown to the payment address, then wait to receive your shielded sBRC-20.

Are there refunds?

No refunds. A mint or deploy that confirms after the coin is minted out, after a price change beyond the grace window, or for a ticker already taken still pays and receives nothing.

What are my 24 words for?

Your 24 words are the only way to recover your wallet. Keep them safe. They are encrypted with your password and stored only in this browser; we never see them.
